The Advanced Open Water Diver course is part of the continuing education system within PADI and is designed for divers who want to expand their skills and confidence underwater. It builds on previous training and prepares you for more challenging and rewarding dive experiences.

Requirements

You must be certified as an Open Water Diver (or equivalent). The Rescue Diver course also requires Emergency First Response (or similar CPR/First Aid training). Master Scuba Diver requires five specialty certifications and at least 50 logged dives.
